Liz creates works of art from her studio located outside St Albans, in Hertfordshire. Liz paints, exhibits and teaches watercolour and mixed media painting in the UK and in Europe.

Liz began her art career with a BA Hons degree in Typography and Graphic Communication from Reading University. She has worked in many different media but always felt her heart was in watercolour.

Having exhibited at the Royal Watercolour Society’s Bankside Gallery in London and held many solo exhibitions Liz also regularly takes part in local shows: Kimpton Art Fair, Ayot St Lawrence Art Show, Art at the Heart, Art on the Common and more.

Painting daily, Liz enjoys constantly exploring different watercolour techniques, challenging its endless, beautiful possibilities for different effects. Occasionally ink, oil pastels, gouache, watercolour pencils, various acrylic mediums or collage are added for that extra spark. Liz usually paints with a pointed mop brush which creates flowing, energetic brush strokes, reminiscent of Chinese painting techniques.
